It is with great shock and deep sadness that I inform you of the passing of Tim Sakovich, husband of our beloved Barbara Sakovich, my assistant at Village Hall. Tim was tragically killed yesterday in a car accident in Florida. Barbara and Tim have three amazing daughters, Brittney, Alexa and Morgan all who graduated from Port Jefferson. Barbara and Tim were high school sweet hearts and she and her three girls need our help now more than ever.
Travel to Florida, funeral arrangements and costs associated with helping them cope with the sudden and devastating loss of their Father, and husband are incomprehensible. Please do all you can to assist them now, in their time of deep mourning and loss. We are a strong community – and we need to stand behind this incredible family now, more than ever.
