Ryan Livengood's Murder investigation

Hello, my name is Ritchie Livengood and I am asking for your help. You see my son Ryan was murdered on 5/29/2018. The police know who the killer is but they refuse to do their jobs and make an arrest because the killer was related to an active State Trooper. We have gone through HELL the last 4 3/4 years seeing the murderer and her accomplices walking around free and clear just because of who they are related to. We have proof of the Detectives incompetent investigation where he ignored evidence, missed evidence, and lied about evidence and even destroyed evidence. He wants to claim that it was a justified homicide with not one single piece of evidence to back up his claim. He made that decision because the killer and her friends said my son was pointing a gun even though he has no proof of it. They even said my son shot first and the evidence proves that his weapon was never fired. It could not have been fired because it was unloaded. The detective was making statements to the county attorney that Ryan fired 1st even though his gun was not loaded. The killers left the scene, ditched their weapons and lied to the police about what happened, and this cop still wants to believe them over concrete evidence that contradicts their claims. We have proof from the interviews where they lied to him and told him two contradicting stories during the same interview and he was completely clueless that they had just lied to him. Not just once but multiple times. We have asked KSP to either provide the proof that it was self-defense or explain why they refuse to do the jobs they are required to do and they have done neither. We received the open records about a year ago and have gone through them meticulously and there is no proof of any kind that it was self-defense. There is evidence that proves that my son was ambushed and shot while he was sitting in his vehicle in less than a minute after he pulled into the parking lot to talk to his ex-girlfriend. He was shot and killed by his ex’s new girlfriend. There are three pieces of evidence that the police missed that proves that. They ignored evidence and hoped that we would never find it but we did. We brought it to their attention, and they refuse to look into it. Ask yourself this question, why wouldn’t the police be interested in evidence in a Homicide case that they missed that would prove that the murderers are lying? Why would a detective lie to the family of the disease about facts in the case. I have seen cold cases getting solved 20 years after someone was killed just from DNA evidence and they won’t even review what we found. We need your help to help cover the legal costs so that we can make those that are responsible for the incompetent investigation as well as the murderers to pay for their actions. The police won’t do their jobs so if we want justice for my son we are having to cover the cost to make them do their jobs even though all of our tax dollars should already be paying for that.

Basically, my son was shot and killed, the police know who did it but they refuse to arrest them. They say it was self-defense but cannot provide proof of it. They have left us with the burden to try and prove it was murder but will not look at the evidence that we have provided that proves murder. The burden should be the killer’s responsibility, not ours. It’s a case of the “ Good Ole Boy’s Club “ within law enforcement to protect a relative of one of their own. How else can you explain their lack of effort put forth in this case and how they are unwilling to review new evidence (Evidence that 3 experienced detectives missed/ignored) that proves it was murder and that they coordinated their stories to try and make it sound like it was self-defense. They cannot rule out murder but will not do the jobs that they took an oath to do. Help us hold them accountable for their crimes. Any tests that could have been performed to find out the truth they failed to do them. We took our findings to a Detective with the Attorney Generals Office which he reviewed the info we had and agreed that mistakes were made. He offered his department's assistance to help with the investigation where KSP and the Commonwealth attorney's office refused the help. That just proves our point even more. They are not interested in finding out the truth. They are fine with the outcome since it keeps a relative of one of their own out of prison.

We will truly appreciate any help that you can give us in getting justice for my son Ryan Scott Livengood. We need to get those responsible for killing my son before they kill again and destroy another family.
