Ruth's Mission trip to Ecuador

Dear Friends and Family,
I (Ruth Tucker) attend Crossgate Church in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The mission team “Go Crossgate” has planned a short-term team mission trip to Ecuador this summer leaving Saturday July 15th and returning Saturday July 22nd. I have submitted my application to the mission team and am excited to let you know I have been approved.
Our team will consist of 18 other folks from my church. While in Ecuador we will be working with the children at the Orphanage “Houses of Happiness” www.hfecuador.org. The Happiness Foundation property is on 50 acres near Quito, Ecuador. The property is divided into 2 sections, a Lower 25 acre section and an upper 25 acre section. The Lower section houses the orphanage and Christian school. The upper section houses Camp Friendship. Our team will be staying at the orphanage.
The purpose of our trip will be to engage with the 100 plus children at the orphanage, showing them God’s love, doing activities with them, witnessing to children in the community, conducting a vacation Bible school, as well as doing some minor construction and fix up projects.
I am seeking both prayer and financial support.
Please partner with me in praying for:
· Travel safety for our team.
· For the health of our team.
· That I would have the mind of Christ.
· To prepare the hearts of those we are going to see to receive the Gospel and come to a saving knowledge of Christ.
· That the team will be productive in accomplishing our goals.
· That we will be the best example we can be of a Christ.
For financial support – The cost of the trip is $1,500.00. I have saved up and paid a 10% deposit. Would you please consider sponsoring me? Any amount helps. It would be great to have funds by April 15th.
