Rosemary’s Bills Due to Health Crisis

Hi my name is Kim Burton,

I am writing to ask for the support of an incredibly special friend. Her name is Rosemary Landolfi. She is originally from North Branford, CT and now resides in Irmo, SC. Rosemary is a single parent and sole supporter of her family. November 29, she went in for an outpatient kyphoplasty surgery for four compression fractures. However, due to unforeseen complications in Rosemarys condition, the surgery delayed for two days. Unfortunately, she contracted an infection from the hospital that soon spread throughout her entire body, which made things dire. Rosemary was put in the ICU, in a medically induced coma, and on a ventilator for 27 days. We were so worried we were going to lose her. Luckily she has made it out the other side, but not without obstacles. She is now on a trach and relearning how to breathe on her own, as well as dealing with neuropathy in her left foot. Rosemary now has to also learn how to walk again and will require extensive physical and occupational therapy for months and possibly years to come.

And although we all are eternally grateful for Rosemary beating all odds, she now has to deal with the financial burden this has all costed. She currently has no income coming in and bills are starting to pile up. Rosemary is the sole provider in her house to her two adult children and after all she has gone through and overcome, she deserves a break.
