Rook's medical bills
Donation protected
I'm sure anyone who's met Rook remembers him fondly as a creature of striking stature and character. I'm not his owner but this 84kg goofball has been as loving a friend to me as any pet I've ever owned and I feel blessed to have spent so much time in his stinky company.
I'm sure anyone who knows his owner Tris understands he's a legend and one of the most caring individuals around, especially when it comes to his animal companions.
Unfortunately, on Oct 2nd, Rook suffered abdominal distension. Commonly known as bloat, Rooks stomach rolled over and knotted, putting an immediate, life threatening strain on his body. He has since miraculously survived emergency surgery, intensive post operative care and is also being treated for an extreme case of pneumonia due to inhalation of vomit. He remains at Southpaws emergency vet in East Malvern.
As you can imagine the costs of this put quite a strain on a young working class man. Tris's expenses have already surpassed $10,000 dollars and continue to grow every day Rook is unable to return home and are putting him into considerable debt, impacting both his and Rook's quality of life. This fund can greatly help to alleviate that.
We're reaching out to anyone who's a friend to Tris and Rook, anyone whose seen him on walks or at the park, or just any animal lover with some money to spare. Any assistance would mean the world.
Thank you.
