Riverside Community Orchard

Donation protected
The Santa Cruz Fruit Tree Project has been working in collaboration with the City of Santa Cruz and with Andy Moskowitz of Seed Culture Labs ecological design to develop the city's first community orchard. We broke ground on Riverside Community Orchard in early 2015 when more than fifty volunteers came out to plant dwarf apple, pear, and citrus trees along a fence line at Riverside Gardens Park.

On February 4th, we'll launch a major expansion of the orchard, planting upwards of twenty  trees in nearby Mike Fox Park. The orchard will be tended by volunteers, and once the trees mature, their fruit will be available to all as a public resource.

The Fruit Tree Project is a volunteer organization, run and funded entirely by community members like you. Please donate to help us buy the trees, gopher wire, irrigation equipment, and other materials we need to get this orchard going strong.
