From Under the Rubble: Our Untold Story

● I am Mahmoud Salama, a 27-year-old Palestinian from Gaza, holding a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
My family consists of my( parents, 5 brothers, and 5 sisters).

I never imagined that I would write my story to the world from the heart of destruction—not to speak about an achievement, but to tell you how we lost everything and how we are still trying to hold on to life despite everything we have endured.

●The war has finally ended, thanks to God
but its effects still surround us. The psychological wounds are still bleeding. We live with no shelter, no work, no stability… just trying to start over.

Two years have passed since the genocidal war— a war unlike anything I had ever witnessed before, even though I lived through four previous wars in Gaza. Two years of bombing, fear, and displacement… days and nights without safety or peace.

● There was a small mini-market beneath our home, a modest source of income for our family and a refuge for our dreams In an instant, everything vanished under the rubble of the war on Gaza The home and
the mini-market were reduced to painful memories, leaving us struggling to rebuild what the war had taken away Your support is our only hope to restore our lives.

●During this tragedy, my family lost our three-story home, which we built over years of hard work and patience, stone by stone. We also lost our only source of income: the mini-market that took us years to establish and was supporting our entire family.

●Every day I stand on the rubble of our home and ask myself:
Can we truly begin again?
Can a life that was completely stolen be rebuilt?
Or are we destined to remain prisoners of the painful memories we lived?
I try to convince myself that there is still a chance, that hope can be reborn, and that compassionate hearts may help us rise from this devastation.

● We lost our jobs, our livelihood, our children’s schools, and their childhood—those brief, irreplaceable moments that can never be brought back.
And worst of all… we lost our entire neighborhood in northern Gaza.
The streets we grew up on, the walls that held our memories, every detail of our lives… all leveled to the ground. Not a single stone remains.

●We survived miraculously, but today we are refugees and displaced people, living in a fragile tent in southern Gaza. We hold on to life amid the rubble.
And despite all this pain… we have not lost hope. We believe that we can start again, rebuild a better life for our family, and restore the hope that the war has shattered.

Here we are talking about my mother's health condition.
My mother, who is 58, has a thyroid condition that requires a medication called Mercaptizol 20mg, which is not currently available. She also suffers from high blood pressure and also suffers from diabetes, which makes her health more fragile. These circumstances make every day an inevitable battle.

●We are simply trying to live with dignity after losing everything.
Your support today gives us the strength to endure, continue, and live like any human being who deserves life and dignity.

●But I cannot do this alone.

I reach out to you from the depths of my heart…
Help me rebuild my life and the lives of my family.
Covering the costs of my mother's treatment for chronic illnesses and thyroid problems...
Help me provide a warm shelter, educate our children, and give them what they need to feel human… to feel that they deserve life just like any other child in the world.

Your donation—no matter how small—is a seed of hope that blossoms in my family’s heart, giving us optimism and bringing life back to us.
It is not just financial support…
It is a human message telling us that we are not alone, that someone feels our pain, and that we have the right to life, dignity, and hope in Gaza.

Standing with us today means saving the lives of a family of 12 devastated by war… we survived miraculously, but our wounds are still bleeding, and we need a helping hand to restore our hope and dignity.
We do not ask for luxury, only a dignified life and a compassionate touch to help us rise from this pain.
Every contribution, no matter how small, is a ray of light in our darkness.

From the bottom of my heart… I thank everyone who extends a helping hand, and I pray that peace and love prevail for all.
