Richard Strickland Recovery Fund
Donation protected
Richard was riding his motorcycle on Sunday, May 3rd when he was on highway 55 turning right onto highway 401 when a a 31 yr old female pulled out of a parking lot and Richard t-boned her. Apparently, he and
his motorcycle ended up 15 feet on the other side of her car., His motorcycle fell on top of him, so he has many burns. He does not remember anything except waking up in the hospital. He was in intensive care for 2 days and in the hospital 8 days. He is at home recovering on a slow road. He broke all of his ribs on the right side and 2 on the left side, he broke his sternum, both collar bones and his right scapula bone along with a bad concussion. He is unable to sleep except sitting upright in a recliner with lots of pillows to keep him upright hoping to prevent more pain. He is only able to sleep 2 hours at a time because of the excruciating pain. He is VERY thankful to be alive and looks forward to delivering our mail one day. He really appreciates all of our concerns and misses seeing us.
Richard's USPS sick leave ran out on June 3, so for anyone who wants to make a donation to help him through his recovery process you can do that here!
