I have very tragic news.
Ricardo is being deported and taken from our
Family.
After years of fighting our system it seems he is being deported . This is sudden and devastating news to our team at papas and more importantly to Ricardo’s wife Joyce and his daughter Bianca. Although this is not a life or death situation there is nothing more important to Ricardo than providing for his family. Right now Ricardo is locked up and at rock bottom. He needs our love and support. We please ask that you keep Ricardo and his family In your thoughts and prayers. Help us manifest a positive outcome. I will be starting a Go fund me page to help financially aid Ricardo’s wife Joyce and his daughter Bianca Ferreira.
All money raised will go to his Daughter Bianca who is currently attending UM law school and is working with the UM immigration professor and her school dean to make the next right move to help her father. We are also grateful to all our locals and supporters who are not only donating their money but their time and resources to help Bianca make the right moves.
Here we are in a Situation where Ricardo has worked his ass off to provide Bianca with a proper education, bianca not only Graduated UF on the deans list but is now in law school. And now with your help Bianca is being empowered to help her father and futher more potentially help our Immigration systems as Bianca continues her education as a immigration attorney at UM Law school
Ricardo is very upset and believes he has failed
us all :(
We will not fail or give up on Ricardo.

As for our restaurants we will temporarily do without valet service until matters are more clarified. For our patrons we ask for your patience and support during this challenging time. We will keep everyone posted on our progress with this matter. As for our parking situation you may Uber and receive 10% off your entire bill.

Ricardo was sent an order to report at the
Miramar ICE facility and that is what he did yesterday, and they arrested him - The basis of
deportation, I believe, is that he overstayed his VISA .
He has always reported when asked to make sure his work authorization permit was upheld and always tried to do the “right” thing
by immigration
I’ve been in touch with his family
His daughter Bianca said
“He has one attorney he has been talking to who said there is nothing left to do. My immigration professor at the law school has taken down all his info and is trying to see if she can contact people like Marco Rubio and UM president to call ICE and see if they can get him out. She is also looking into if there is a possible appeal for my dad having ineffective legal council in his past that has led to today. I will keep you updated if her efforts go anywhere,”
Several locals have reached out to me who have contacts at I.C.E and or legal representation
We are trying to raise funds to help with potential legal fees, and to possibly help his family travel back to Brazil worse case scenario and most of all to potentially help support Bianca finishes her and her father dream to finish law school and help make a difference
