Hey! My name is Ben Lovatt, and I am the founder and head curator of the Prehistoria Museum - located in downtown Toronto. We are the only free-admission natural history museum in Toronto!

When I started this project, I was losing the battle to my disabilities and suffering below the poverty line. I was barely able to afford food, or toilet paper, let alone admission to a museum. My health, and my finances, made me feel powerless and like I didn't deserve the opportunity to experience the wonders of a museum.

Now that I have my own museum, it is one of our core principles to ensure everyone has a chance to experience and learn about their place on Earth and the universe. Disabled, unhoused, the wealthy, and everyone in between are equally welcome, respected, & treated with the dignity they deserve at the Prehistoria Museum.

While we don't believe money should limit people's access to the wonders of nature and history, bills still have to be paid. We have no government funding, need help finding grants, and we are barely scraping by month-to-month by our retail sales and the small donations we receive at our reception.

While we're grinding away, and our sales are slowly growing, we're still being held underwater by the debts incurred by unexpected issues with our building that our landlords dumped on our lap.

It is with great sadness, and great reluctance, that I have to make this call for help. We need you to help Rescue our T. Rex, and give Tinker the Tyrannosaurus, our wonderful collection, and our incredible staff, a hand through these difficult times. Anything you can contribute makes a huge difference, and helps us catch up on our bills.

We have so much work to do to further develop and expand our education/conservation initiatives. We urgently need your help to get us back on our feet so we can put 100% of our focus back to supporting the community and endangered species around the world.
