Hi, Volunteers at Coolongolook RFS say they are "gutted" after essential firefighting tools worth $30,000 were stolen in a recent robbery. Captain Andy Gilbert says the stolen items include:
— hoses, breathing masks, radios and chainsaws.
He said the theft has left the brigade with a reduced capacity to respond to emergencies in the height of the summer bushfire season.
The incident has rattled the brigade, which was already weary after fighting an emergency level fire blaze at Bulahdelah where a firefighter was killed.
I'm in contact with Captain Andy Gilbert about this fundraiser and he said "thank you so very much". All funds are going directly to the Fire Brigade for new equipment.

Thank you to our firefighters. All contributions however large or small are greatly appreciated.
Donate now to help replace this equipment.
Please note : Donors can give optionally to GoFundMe, but it’s never required. Just flick the button to where you want.
