The Nichols (Josh, Valerie, Kate, Wyatt, and Nora) are an INCREDIBLE family. They are a giant blessing to everyone around them, and as faithful members of Antioch Fort Worth we want to be a giant blessing to them in an extremely hard season. This is just a snapshot of their story, and we hope that you can help support them.
21 months ago their daughter, Nora Joanna, was born into their precious family. After she was born, she began struggling with neurological, swallowing and respiratory issues. No one seemed to have the answers any parent would be asking. Until recent. Nora was diagnosed with Leigh’s disease less than two weeks ago.
Early on July 27, 2018, Nora went from being held in her earthly father’s arms, to being held in her Heavenly Father’s arms.. To say the least, this has been the most precious and difficult journey of their lives. Nora’s life, and now death, have impacted so many.
Unfortunately, there are many financial hardships that have also impacted their lives. Valerie is a stay at home mom, and Josh is a Fort Worth police officer.
The hospital is graciously taking care of Nora’s major bill, however, there are others that simply just keep coming in. During Nora’s last hospital stay Josh and Valerie Received a $6000 bill for an out of network test, and that’s just one of many. As a single income family, it could take Josh working overtime for years, plus side jobs, just to catch up.
On top of that, there is the reality of funeral costs. To put on a service honoring and celebrating Nora's life, it will cost over $5000, out-of-pocket, and due after the service.
Our desire is for the Nichols is to have as much family time as possible as they go through a time of grieving and healing. We hope that the money raised through this Go Fund Me would cover all medical bills, funeral costs, unforeseen expenses, house repairs, and alleviate the Nichols from financial worry during this time of pain.
