Relocating to Further my Education
Hello, for those of you who might not have followed my story, I am known on Tumblr as Delightfulsubgirl. This last Spring I graduated from a Community College with 2 Associate degrees and a 3.93 GPA. I have been accepted into the Psychology Department at a four year college this fall and I am extremely excited to relocate to a larger city with far more opportunities for myself and my girls. Psychology is something I am passionate about, and I want to be in a position where I can help women, minorities and victims of trauma in the court system.
While I set aside some money for the move, I am finding expenses to be a bit higher than expected. I also have a couple unexpected drains on that money. I had anticipated already moving and being there by now. I had intended to already have a part-time job. The apartment I plan to move into won't be ready to for another 3-4 weeks. While I am making a small amount of money tutoring still, it isn't quite enough to cover monthly expenses which means I have had to dip into the moving savings some. I also need to replace the tires on my car. Since I will have to travel for the girls to visit their father, I need to make sure my tires are in good condition.
This is where I am asking for the help of my friends. I hate asking for help, however I know I have followers who have expressed an interest in helping. I don't want anyone to feel obligated to help. I am so grateful for my Tumblr tribe and family, your love and friendship is worth far more than I could ever express. I appreciate that far more than any dollar amount. If you feel you are able to help and would like to, I would also appreciate any assistance you may be able to offer. Including just sharing this with others if that isn't too much to ask.
All funds will go towards moving expenses. If there are any leftover after that for some reason, I will put it towards educational expenses such as books. Either way, I will continue sharing updates with the community and keeping everyone posted on how we are doing. Thank you so much for any support you may be able to offer.
