OFFICIAL GOFUNDME Hi, actual owners of the red Jeep here! (Brittany and Nick Feliciano) I’m aware of the rumors buzzing around about what happened. First things first, this incident was a complete accident. It was in no way done on purpose for publicity, nor was it for an insurance claim. We loaned it to a family member a few weeks ago and he has been driving it since. Yesterday morning, he drove out on the beach before the sun came up and storm arrived, to get some video footage of the ocean. While driving he accidentally hit the drainage wall and got stuck. He immediately left to get help but all businesses were shut down and services inaccessible due to preparation for the storm. By the time he got back the tide was coming in and it was too late. Along with the vehicle he also left behind personal items inside to get help. We may have lost a vehicle but that is small in comparison to what others have lost during this storm. In honor of the red Jeep, we will be donating all funds to UNICEF (100% tax deductible) to help with the disaster relief in the Bahamas, as well as a direct wire transfer through the Bahamian government. Please help us help those in need! Thank you for the memes, and to the man who played the bagpipe — we love you!
