On January 25th our youngest son Isaac was taken by ambulance to St.Mary's hospital in Blue Springs, Mo with signs and symptoms of stroke, he was seen by a student Dr. in the emergency room and they did a cat scan, a chest x-ray, EKG and blood work, they also did the poke with a sharp object in different places and ask if he could feel it, he could not feel any of it, (he could not hardly talk either from numbess in his face, the whole side of his body was numb), after test results came in the Dr. that seen him told (us) and him that his test results were normal that it was his anxiety and released him and sent him home, he had numbness come and go the rest of the weekend and all day that following Monday, he called his dad and I said he thought he needed a second opinion because he was still having the numbness, so we went and got him and took him to Lexington hospital where they done the same test that St.Mary's did (except the chest x-ray), and got ahold of a Neurologist via the computer to have them look at Isaac's test and to look at Isaac and that Neurologist via the computer said that he indeed had had a stroke, so they transfered him to Research. Isaac was at Research for a few days then went home after being diagnosed with having several mini strokes and was put on a few different meds. He has tried to go back to work but has been sick since he went home. On Wednesday February 26th while at work he started having numbess again in his face and hands, his Supervisor went to Isaac's dad and told him that Isaac needed to be taken to the hospital or they were calling an ambulance to take him, so Isaac's dad took him back to Research and after more testing he had another or more mini strokes, so Isaac is still at Research until they figure out what is causing him to have these. Isaac is unable to work due to being in the hospital and he has bills and rent to pay and is behind on them. Asking for help is something that we do not like to do but we don't know what else to do, Isaac has medical insurance but is gonna have some hefty medical bills to pay on top of his regular bills and rent so we have decided to try to get him some help to get him caught up at least. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated and thank you all. Much love the Hilburn family.
