Reclaim Jindabyne's Superb Blue Wren Public Art

Donation protected
In July 2020, the NSW Government CREATE NSW granted funds to paint a mural depicting the Superb Fairy Blue Wren on a water tower in Jindabyne.

The Superb Fairy Blue Wren delights with its rich blue and black plumage and is often sighted in Jindabyne.

Supported by Snowy Monaro Regional Council, the artist is Ben Eyles.

Ben is the Artistic Director of the much loved Easter outdoor sculpture event, Lake Light Sculpture and is also an art teacher at Jindabyne Central School.

Ben has won several sculptural awards for his works which often speak for threatened and endangered wildlife species.

Ben spent 6 days of donated time painting the mural. Not long after it was completed it was vandalised and completely painted over.

This fundraiser is to raise funds to restore the work.

Should excess funds be raised, these will be applied towards future Public Art works in Jindabyne.
