Animals need help!
Donation protected
Hi everyone, I'm a former employee of The Little Farm and a friend of the Jornlid family, here's the update I have.
All animals made it safely through Hurricane Irma, although there was a lot of damage to the barns, enclosures, and fencing. Unfortunately, these things weren't covered by insurance due to the prohibited cost!! I'm asking if we can all donate a little something towards the monumental task of rebuilding.
I'm asking on behalf of the family as this is something they would never do. The estimated cost is upwards of $25,000 dollars.
The family have always put the animals first. After Hurricane Andrew they used the homeowners insurance payout to rebuild the barns and enclosures. The family lived 6 years with 5 small children without a home before they could afford to rebuild.
The Little Farm is an educational farm and butterfly garden that's been running for over 25years... Their invaluable work has taught most of the Tri-county school children about the importance of farm animals, where our food comes from, as well as the nature and science behind our beautiful native butterfly species. Please help this wonderful family rebuild "again"as this is a business run out of love not for money.
