Rebuilding: A Family of 5 House Fire
Donation protected
As parents, we have nightmares that we pray will remain in our dreams. A house fire, especially when our kiddos are asleep in their beds, is one such nightmare. For Amber and Chris Zimmerman of Lancaster, OH, this horrible dream played out in their home on Rutter Street on March 30. Upon smelling smoke, they rushed to protect their children and safely removed the family from the house. Fortunately, no one was harmed; however, the house they were renting and ALL their belongings were destroyed by smoke and fire.
Amber and Chris work hard for what they have. Those of us who live in Fairfield County may recognize Amber as a smiling face at Kroger on East Main Street. Her husband, Chris, works for Allied Welding and Fabricating in Columbus. Three kids make finances tight, but they made it work. After the fire, they learned their renter's insurance would provide enough money to pay for temporary housing until their house repairs are completed. This is a blessing, but the insurance is not enough to replace the items they depend on for day-to-day life.
This fundraising effort was created to help this family replenish their daily living essentials, and your generosity will help the family purchase the following items:
Kitchenware - Pots, pans, dishes, silverware, glasses, bowls, etc.
Bedroom essentials - mattresses, sheets, pillows, comforters, etc.
Bathroom essentials - towels, washcloths and hygiene supplies, etc.
Furniture - Beds, couch, chairs, table, etc.
Let's help this family rebuild their home from the inside out. The walls and foundation of the house are covered, but we all know it is what happens inside a home that makes a family. Also, the family is accepting gift cards for area stores if you would prefer to give in that way. Thank you for your help and support. The Zimmerman Family truly appreciates your generosity and prayers.
