Paris on Ponce needs your help.

We need your help!!!!

Paris on Ponce has been a community staple since 1919.

Originally the Colgate Mattress Factory, it has seen itself through many changes and transformations in 100 incredible years. For the last 25 of those years, it has been known as Atlanta's Premier Bohemian Playground-Paris on Ponce.

Paris on Ponce is a place for artists, entrepreneurs, creative thinkers, joy, music, celebrations, and giving back. We have hosted dozens of fundraisers, hundreds of weddings, celebrations of all kinds, and pride ourselves in being a part of and reflective of our growing creative Atlanta family.

On November 27,  2019, the night before Thanksgiving, a fire spontaneously erupted in the center of our beautiful store. As we collectively careened towards the building, seeing the flames erupt from our home was beyond heart rending. It is catastrophic, but nothing that we aren’t ready to tackle. To conquer. To protect.

We. Need. Your. Help.

Help to begin rebuilding, to clean, and to take care of our incredible staff of eight through the holidays that are beyond heartbroken. Hopefully, insurance will take care of us eventually, but these things take time - usually months - and if we have a shot to begin rebuilding, it has to be now.

Currently, we have no power or water, as the lines were destroyed, so it’s no small task. Per our lease, all of these internal repairs are up to us if we want to continue to be here. But-rebuilding is one thing that Atlanta does best.

Thank goodness, the majority of our retail vendors and artists were protected by 100 year old brick walls, and our incredible Atlanta Fire Battalions, but not all. To say it’s disastrous is to put it mildly.

Three Heart is melted.
Full Circle is devastated.
PopLooks has evaporated.
Beltline books-gone.
The Carl Janes Studio is in ashes.
Korki doesn’t look good.
And we will know more soon.

What is in our future? Well, Paris on Ponce as a business (We don’t own the building.)  has always been reflective of the community, so as we ask for your help, please know that this next chapter is going to be shaped by and for you, our friends and family.

Thousands of you have reached out and generously offered help; and now we are telling you that we need it. If ever we have hosted you, given to your charity, made you smile, shown you a little burlesque, served you coffee (or a cocktail), introduced you to a pug, given you a gift, and felt embraced by us, please help us now.

This is our home, this is your home, and we love you all. Thank you for everything and anything that you can spare.

With all of our hearts,
Skip, Nicolette, and your POP family.
