Rebuild Lebanese houses ruined in the explosion
Donation protected
We are Purple Sheep a small local business that has been renovating old abandoned houses in Beirut for over 7 years.
In the past 7 years we have renovated 12 houses and one whole building.
We receive guests from all over the world and host them and show them all over Lebanon.
After the explosion most of our houses were destroyed but we can fix them up again.
But one of the buildings that we renovated is very close to the explosion site, and has been extensively damaged.
If we are unable to renovate and rebuild the building, there is a risk that the building may not survive.
Some more information about the logistics of this campaign and how it will work:
1. Who you are and where you are from
Marc Mouzawak (Lebanon) and Cate Smith (England)
2. Your relationship to the parties you're raising funds for
Cate lived in Beirut for 5 years with the people trying to renovate the damage that has happened, and helped to renovate some of the houses that are now destroyed. Marc
3. Your plan to send the funds to the intended recipients, and their names
After the money have been raised, Cate will be sending it to Marc Mouzawak , who is the founder of Purple Sheep, so that he can start the renovation process
4. How the funds will be spent (be specific as possible)
The building that has been severely damaged is 100 years old, we first renovated the building 4 years ago, and now we need to redo the work which is extensive:
-doors
-windows and gasses
-reinforcing the structures of the building
-replacing the walls that have been destroyed with new walls
-sanitary and electricity work
We have prepared a damage report that we can share with you if needed
