I’m writing this as a grieving father and a husband doing everything I can to hold my family together.
April 16th 2025, we delivered our baby girl, Selena Nayeli, and had to say goodbye before ever getting the chance to hear her cry or see her grow. She was perfect. She was wanted. And she was loved beyond words.
After her passing, we found out that my wife has a serious autoimmune condition called Antiphospholipid Syndrome (APS) — something we had never heard of, something we had no idea was silently threatening her health and our daughter’s life.
APS causes the body to attack itself and form blood clots, especially in the placenta during pregnancy. It’s what led to Selena’s passing. It’s what changed our family forever.
Now we’re left not only grieving, but facing the emotional, medical, and financial aftermath of all of this. My wife is still recovering — physically and emotionally — while navigating a lifelong diagnosis we never saw coming.
We are asking for support in any form — donations, shares, prayers — as we try to cover medical costs, memorial needs, and begin the long road to healing. This isn’t just about getting through today. It’s about rebuilding our lives from a place of heartbreak and honoring our daughter’s name every step of the way.
Thank you for reading. Thank you for standing with us. Selena mattered, and so does everything that comes next.
