Help Callicutt Stables Rebuild After Devastating Fire
This Sunday afternoon, tragedy struck Callicutt Stables in Seagrove, NC. A devastating fire tore through the barn while around 45 horses were inside. While some were heroically saved and others are receiving critical care, many beloved horses were lost.
For decades, this barn has stood as more than just a structure — it has been a cornerstone of the walking horse community. Under its roof, generations of exceptional Tennessee Walking Horses were raised, trained, and always appreciated. Riders from near and far came here searching for their next show partner, their next trail companion, or simply just loved to come hang around!
For many of us, Callicutt Stables wasn’t just a barn. It was a home away from home.
The Callicutt family has dedicated their lives to serving the walking horse industry for three generations. Their knowledge, integrity, and passion have shaped countless horsemen and horsewomen over the years. Now, in a matter of hours, they have lost so much — their barn, their livelihood, and treasured horses who were part of their family.
We are asking for your support to help them rebuild. Donations will go toward:
- Reconstructing the barn and facilities
- Veterinary care for injured horses
- Replacing essential equipment and supplies
- Supporting the family as they begin again
Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this page and keeping the Callicutt family in your thoughts and prayers.
Let’s come together as a community and help ensure that the third generation of this remarkable horse family can continue serving the walking horse world for years to come.
Thank you for your generosity and support. ❤️
