Raylene Owens

The week before Christmas we found out our mama, Raylene, has a mass on her lung. She had just started a new job in January and lost her job as a result of debilitating vertigo. Well, after a month and a half of not being able to tend to herself and suffering from many symptoms, we found out it wasn’t vertigo after all. The lung cancer has spread to the brain. Fortunately, she is now on some medicine that has helped the symptoms greatly. There have been many tests and doctor visits. She will have surgery April 1 in Chapel Hill on the brain mass following with radiation in a few weeks. From there will be chemo to treat the lung. Mama is in great spirits and at peace with the situation. God spoke to her right in the beginning telling her The battle is His. And so here we are. She has been living on her own almost a year now so without an income and all the new things going on we are reaching out for your help. Whatever you can do will be so greatly appreciated even if it’s only your prayers. No one likes to ask for help but sometimes it’s a necessary thing.  Again, on behalf of her family we thank you!
