Randi kicks cancer in the kidney
Donation protected
As many of you know my wife, Randi, was recently diagnosed with Kidney Cancer. Randi had been experiencing abdominal pain for the best of a year and a half. Doctors ordered a CT scan in which they found a large Renal Cell Carcinoma. Due to the size and location of the mass it looks like they will be removing the whole kidney. This will be performed at the University of Michigan.
Because I'm so awesome many of you have been following what happened with me this summer. This combined with Randi's new diagnosis has really put us behind financially. While I don't ask for handouts very often. The gas money alone to get to U of M and back home will be about $20 each time. We are looking at multiple trips up there, twins in school, meals while at the hospital, co-pays, etc. Not only is this going to be a stressful time but a financially challenging one since we already live on a shoestring budget and we have already been going through this with over the last few months.
Randi and I have a lot of good friends and a strong social network. Many of you have asked what you could do to help us. It is hard to say to ones face "Hey could you give us $50?" Not that money is everything but we have a strong support system and what we really need right now is funds to make the impossible possible. Please do not feel like you have to give anything, however, anything that you do give will help.
