Rally for Dear Family After Tragic Loss

Hello, my name is James Dear III, and I am asking for fundraising for my dad’s funeral expenses after his tragic passing. His name is James Dear Jr. He lived 64 years and had just celebrated his birthday on March 25.

It all started around the end of February when my dad was admitted to the hospital. He went in to get a simple procedure on his heart, and things got complicated. He was admitted to the ICU two days into his hospital stay, and things took a turn for the worse with his health. Dealing with his already diagnosed congestive heart failure, things were beginning to fail in his body. However, the hospital was able to stabilize him, but under further tests, a more horrific discovery came to light: the doctors had worse news—Liver Cancer.

As he was brought back to life in the hospital, more light darkened with this news. But we were ready to fight it as he was released from the hospital. It came to be known how severe it was—stage four liver cancer in this new discovery. As we entered into March, we began making plans for his cancer treatment, and he was really positive about fighting it. Unfortunately, things took another turn for the worse, and he did not make it to the treatment, which was set for Tuesday. He died peacefully in his sleep.

As we navigate this major heartbreaking health scare battle over these few months, I am asking for donations for funeral and family expenses. As for me, James, 24, and his second oldest, Jalen, 20, and youngest, Jeremiah, 12, we sons and brothers have a lot to handle on our own. Things are more complicated as his wife, our mother, is currently incarcerated. He leaves behind his loving wife and us three sons. His loving family of sisters and brother and all in between.
