My name is Rachel, and I’m humbly reaching out for support after a recent car accident that has left me in a tough financial bind.

On Friday, I was involved in a car accident. Thankfully no one was seriously hurt. Shortly after, I discovered that my car insurance had been canceled without my knowledge.

As it turns out, my payment didn’t go through because my card on file had expired. I never received a call, email, or notice. The insurance company sent a letter after the cancellation date, informing me they had voided my policy on July 15, even though the coverage was supposed to last until September 7. I received the letter yesterday, on August 2nd, when while trying to make a claim, they informed me I didn't have a policy with them anymore.

Despite my efforts to reinstate or resolve the issue, the company refuses to budge. I’m now fully responsible for the damages out-of-pocket, with no financial assistance or coverage.

This situation has been incredibly stressful, and I’m doing my best to stay grounded, take accountability, and work toward a resolution. I’m asking for help — whether it's $5 or simply sharing this with someone who might be able to — so I can cover the costs of vehicle repairs, potential compensation, and transportation while I get back on my feet.
