Before June 2020, Steven Acob was a very creative and active 9 year old boy attending school at Columbia Ridge in Ephrata. As most boys Steven loves to play video games and ride his hoverboard. Two weeks ago Steven had an accident on his hoverboard and fell. A couple days later, he began to feel sick with body aches, stomach pain and dizziness. His mother was highly concerned and took Steven to the hospital in Moses Lake.
Steven and his mother were given news no parent or child could imagine. Doctors said Steven may have a form of cancer. Steven was immediately taken to Sacred Heart in Spokane and diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Steven started treatment the same day, undergoing blood transfusions, surgery for a central line and starting several rounds of chemotherapy. This is only the beginning of a long fight for Steven and his family.
This diagnosis has put Stevens' family into emotional and financial stress. To add to an already stressful situation, only Stevens mother is allowed to be with Steven due to the COVID-19 restrictions. Stevens' older brother's and sister have not been able to see Steven since he was rushed to Spokane.
Recently, Steven and his siblings lost their father after a 6 month battle with cancer in February. All prayers, support and resources are welcomed and appreciated. All the funds will be used by Steven’s family for the expenses incurred during treatments. If you can please donate today to Steven Acob’s fight, and continue to keep Steven and his family in your heart.
Thank You.
