Michael's Medical Fund

Hello friends,

Michael Duerr here. Most of you know me either from the last ten years at Matisse restaurant or when I have had the pleasure of singing and playing guitar for you. It has been a stress filled ride the last 12 months beginning with the dog bite on Valentine's Day and ending up needing to have radiation on both legs for squamous carcinoma. After meeting with the radiation oncologist, Dr. Karen Sokolov, yesterday, it was made clear to me that without treatment, the cancer would metastisize within the next few months. Unfortunately, even  with health insurance, I must come up with an additional $4000.00 to begin treatment. Many of you know that I have survived Prostate cancer and an abdominal aortic aneuryism and I find that I have no choice but to humble myself and ask for help on this. 
I cannot even begin to express my gratitude for any contributions you may find it in your heart to make and know that I will do my very best to continue to add both music and laughter to all of your lives. Gratefully, Michael Duerr
