We need your help! Six weeks ago, Lisa tragically suffered from a rare kind of brainstem stroke. One second she was perfectly healthy and physically fit taking on the world. She enjoyed being a wife and mom who excelled in her job and being there for her family.

Suddenly, in the blink of an eyeher life has changed. It turned out Lisa suffered from a rare kind of dissection of one of the key arteries that supplies the area of the brain that’s responsible for movement, coordination, and other basic functions.  Fortunately, it did not affect higher thinking, but she now has to learn how to rework her entire body all over again.

She has already made extraordinary progress, regaining enough strength in her legs to stand and take a few steps.  Lisa has always been such a STRONG person; however she needs all of our support and prayers to give her the strength to fight through this challenge.  We need your help to get Lisa back to herself!

With months of rehab, the doctors have high hopes that she will be able to walk, drive and possibly work again –but it’s going to take financial support. Lisa is VERY YOUNG (in her 40’s), and we need to get her the treatment she needs. Unfortunately, our medical care is too often dictated by the insurance companies and their set limitations.

Whereas, Lisa would definitely benefit from further inpatient rehabilitation, she is being discharged and will have to be driven over an hour to outpatient therapy for five hours per day, five days per week.  Lisa is working very hard and needs her full attention on her rehabilitation.  Unfortunately, Lisa will need continued therapy even after the insurance benefits run out for outpatient therapy.

Lisa fortunately has the emotional support of her husband and family; however the many months of necessary rehabilitation and medical bills will surely exceed the insurance benefits and funds available.  This is just the world we live in.

We are asking for everyone's prayers as Lisa has a very long road to travel.  She is seeking second
opinions from specialists who perhaps will have more experience with this very rare type of stroke.

Lisa still faces challenges with swallowing and her therapy is limited by pain from a shoulder injury.

We are all so proud of her determination and positive attitude.  We are certain that encouraging words from all of you will help keep her beautiful smile on her face.

Please, we really need your help
and NO donation is too small
.
                      God Bless You!

Sincerely,
Michelle Atallah and
Team Lisa
