The Tragic Event:
On April 21st EASTER SUNDAY a series of bomb blasts were carried out by suicide bombers at St. Anthony’s Church, St. Sebastian’s Church, Zion Church and at three 5 Star Hotels in SRI LANKA targeting Catholics, Christians, Foreign Nationals and civilians. More than 250 innocent people died including children and nearly 500 were injured in this tragic event.
Who we are:
We are, SRI LANKANS WELFARE SOCIETY OF HOUSTON a nonprofit entity based in Houston Texas (formed in 2017 aftermath of Hurricane Harvey). Our mission “Support and uplift during hardships such as death of a family member and during natural disasters to strengthen our community”.
We as a Welfare Society are urge to help the innocent victims of this tragic event which took place on Easter Sunday.
Distribution of Funds:
All funds raised less any GoFundMe fees/tips, will be withdrawn and channeled directly to the families of the victims of this tragic event. All finances (including this GoFundMe funds) are subject to manage by the committee members (ten members) of our Welfare Society (no finances are handled single handed). As soon as the funds are delivered to the affected families we will notify the donors via this GoFundMe page.
