Put a Forgotten Hero to Rest

In 2003, Mario Rivas passed away and was deemed indigent and was buried in a pauper’s field in the area of Coolidge, Arizona, inside a plain cardboard box. He served his country by enlisting into the United States Marine Corps and served during World War II. This man had served the country and was one of many who had provided us the freedoms we have today, along with being one of many guardians of the free world. His wife Victoria Rivas passed away and is being buried on June 1st 2017 at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Marana, Arizona. Mrs. Rivas also served in the USMC she too be a guarding of the free world. We would like to take on the project of exhuming his remains and place him into a proper casket along with having him transported to Marana in which he and his wife of 30 years can be together once again for eternity. Giving him a little comfort in knowing his service for the freedoms we take at times for granted is being respected and do something for both he and his wife, family and friends he was not forgotten.
