We are a group of concerned Felsted residents standing together to protect our village from a large-scale housing development proposed on the land north of Garnetts Lane. This development will either indirectly or directly impact everyone living in and around Felsted, and threatens not only our beautiful rural landscape, but also the character, history, safety, and environmental wellbeing of our community.

Why We Need Your Help

To give our village the best possible chance of stopping this proposal, we urgently need to raise funds for independent, professional assessments that challenge the developers’ plans and highlight the true impact this build would have.

Your donations will help fund:

• An Arboricultural Report – to assess the true impact on trees and hedgerows that shape our rural landscape.

• An Ecological Report – to protect the wildlife that calls this land home.

• A Transport & Travel Report – to prove how dangerous increased traffic would be on our already narrow and quiet lanes.

• A Flood Risk Report – to highlight existing drainage and flooding problems that would be worsened by this development.

• A Biodiversity Report – to ensure the natural environment is not destroyed under false or inadequate claims.

• Professional Consultants & Legal Representation – including a Transport and Highways Consultant and a Planning Barrister who can represent our community fairly and powerfully in planning meetings.

Why This Matters

Felsted is a historic and close-knit village with limited infrastructure:

• One small primary school (already oversubscribed)

• One GP surgery

• One village shop

• Country lanes that weren’t built to handle this level of traffic

• Flood-prone areas already under strain

The proposed development threatens the very fabric of our community. It is not based on local need—nearby developments are already struggling to sell. This is speculative building, and it puts profit over people, nature, and heritage.
