Teaching English to Syrian Refugees
Donation protected
Here we go Project Bookrah second time around. It has come around quite quickly but I have quit my job and am ready to head off to Jordan again to teach our intensive TOEFL course. The aim of Project Bookrah is to run a free three-month intensive English course for Syrian refugee students in Amman, Jordan from July through to september 2015. This will enable them to apply for university scholarships that are available overseas but require English proficiency. The project has costs which will enable its effectiveness. Last year we were able to pay for the top 5 students to take the formal TOEFL exam, which is quite expensive. Our hopes are to do the same this year. No amount is too small to make a difference to these young peoples lives. They are only at the begining making their way through a very troublesome time, we hope to provide them not only with new skills but hope for a better tomorrow.
I am so appreciative of any form of support you are able to provide, everything truly makes a difference so thank you.
