Upright Seats for Nora
Hello friends and family!
So many of you have been bringing baby Nora and her family before the throne of God asking him for healing, provision, peace and so much more. Many of you have helped with meals, childcare, and other things in the last 19 months as Nora has been in and out of the hospital multiple times.
We are praising Jesus that she is doing well right now and growing bigger! She is a beautiful miracle and her family is so thankful for your prayers and generosity.
Recently, we discovered a need that insurance won't cover for Nora so we've created this campaign. Currently, Nora has nothing to help her sit upright. She mostly lays flat or in her bed at an incline. It is important for her health and wellness to be able to be upright more often. And Josh and Valerie would absolutely love for Nora to be able to sit with her siblings in the bathtub, sit in a grocery cart, enjoy the kiddie pool, sit at the dinner table or be able to watch her brother and sister play. Nora is worthy and valued, she is a precious treasure who deserves to get to participate in normal family activities as much as possible.
Palative care is working to get her a medical stroller or wheelchair and car seat through insurance in the near future, but those are for on the go and not easy to use in the home.
There are two seats that would help Nora join her family in day to day life activities. One seat is water proof and will be used in the bath tub, pool, beach...wherever Nora wants to get wet. And the other seat will be used for everything else. But these two seats are considered "extras" and not covered by insurance.
The two seats will cost around $1100. So we are asking for $1500 to make sure they have enough to cover the seats and fees as well as anything insurance doesn't cover for the wheelchair, stroller, or car seat. Any extra funds raised will go in an account for Nora to help Josh and Valerie with future medical needs for Nora.
