Artemis has become suddenly sick. She has been unable to keep down any food, and is vomiting often.
A vet trip on Friday afternoon left Ande optimistic that Artemis had a stomach ulcer and acid reflux that could be treated with medication.
Unfortunately Artemis took a turn for the worst over the weekend, and has now been diagnosed with kidney failure and pancreatitis. She has to stay overnight at best with the emergency vet. They are going to continue with blood work, urine tests, and ultrasound to determine if her kidneys are salvageable. Treatment will likely involve a much longer stay with the vet, and a lot of trial and error to find a combination of medications that will work for her.
The vet has estimated this all will cost about $4,000. Please help!
