Young couple displaced by fire

Donation protected
My daughter and her boyfriend are a young couple who recently moved to Langford, British Columbia to start a new life together.

On Thursday, October 8th, 2020, a fire broke out while Chelsea was at home.  911 was called and a neighbour assisted to extinguish the flames to no avail.

Two Fire Departments responded to the scene.  They were able to contain the fire, but to confirm it was completely extinguished, a hole was cut through the roof and water was sprayed into the building.  This resulted in significant water damage.  The impact of the pressure from the water hose and the debris caused all of the contents to be destroyed.  They lost everything.  All that remained was the clothing that they were wearing that day.  Unfortunately, they had no tenant insurance.

They are now left with no home, no furniture, and no personal items.

We are very fortunate that Chelsea was not near the fire and, although a very upsetting time for her, she is safe and suffered no physical injuries.

If you are able, we are asking for donations so that they can rebuild their lives and help replace the items that were destroyed.

Thank you in advance for your contribution, whether monetary or otherwise.  We appreciate your kind gestures and prayers.
