Smudge was the kitten of a family pet but was dumped, along with her siblings, close to a feeding station in Abu Dhabi once she was old enough to eat cat food. This sadly is not unusual in the UAE. One of the siblings was killed on the road and their rescuer, despite having nowhere for them to go and being already maxed out with vet bills, could not leave them to die outside.
Smudge has lived with her siblings in a wet, leaky bathroom ever since . This has put the rescuer under great pressure due to the lack of space and already having 2 very ill cats, and has also been very difficult for the 7 kittens being confined in such a small space with no toys or beds due to the wet floor. It is unbearably hot in the bathroom and the cats have become cranky with this discomfort.
Smudge has been offered a foster home, along with her sister Leaf, by a wonderful person in the UK who read about their situation and wants to help. This is a chance of a lifetime for Smudge and we don't want her to miss out.
Please donate towards Smudge's flight costs so she can escape this small toilet in Abu Dhabi.
