Help Peggy and Munsey’s Mission rescue research lab animals!
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Peggy Munsey. Before I begin, I want to point out that ALL proceeds from artwork sales on my website, Munsey’s Mission, go to the sanctuary.
I’d like you all to meet Harvey the Beagle. Or Harvey could be a cat, a rabbit, a horse or a monkey. The name is made up, but unfortunately the rest of the story is NOT.
Harvey was bred in a warehouse for the sole purpose of being sold for use in experiments. It could be an experiment on how the brain interprets PAIN, or on PARALYSIS, SOCIAL ISOLATION AND LONLINESS or any one of thousands of pharmaceutical drugs and products used in and around the human body. If Harvey is still somewhat healthy at the end, he’ll be sold to another lab, then another.
I know this story is disturbing to many of you, as it is to me.
Thankfully, there are ways to help.
That’s exactly why I recently re-started my animal sanctuary for research lab animals, Munsey’s Mission.
3 years ago, I moved to New Mexico, bought 40 acres of land and had my home built on it. Now I want it to be a place where animals in need can call home. The main focus of my life moving forward is to save as many animals as I can from research labs.
They will come to my place for rehabilitation and perhaps adoption if possible. Otherwise, they will live out their lives at the sanctuary with plenty of room to roam and will never be caged again. They will have whatever they need to keep them healthy and happy.
However, I CANNOT do this alone. I have the space, the love and the determination, but not the MONEY.
Now THIS is where YOU come in!
Again, I know this story was hard to read and envision, but there are things YOU can do to help in a BIG way!
If you can possibly help me rescue these innocent creatures, please donate here to Munsey’s Mission so I can open my doors and start taking in these lab survivors.
Also, please consider using only products that are NOT tested on animals. There are so many affordable options in most stores, it’s become very easy to switch to these products.
If you can help me raise $5,000, this is what I plan to do with the money. $2800 will buy a 8’x10’ shed, delivered. I’ll need to put in 2 windows and insulation for $400. It will then provide predator-proof overnight housing for either 4 sheep or 6 goats or 10 rabbits.
Building a 60’x60’ field fence around the shed will give the animals some room to run around a bit until I can enlarge their area. The fence will cost $1000 to put up. That leaves $800 to buy food, bedding, medication and vet care that is needed.
