Please help Juliana find home here in Portland

We all know how difficult it is to find “home” among the rental properties advertised in our current housing crisis in Portland, Maine. Rents are high, and the competition is fierce - especially if you are just starting out in Portland, and especially if you are coming from another country seeking asylum. Sometimes it takes all of us to collectively pitch in a little bit and support our community members.
We are a circle of friends and allies supporting Juliana who, together with her brother, wishes to make Portland home. She has found an apartment that she can afford and is working hard to secure financial resources for her security deposit and first month’s rent. In her words:
Hello, my name is Juliana Cifuentes, transgender woman in search of asylum in the United States. I have been in Maine for one year with the support of someone who lovingly opened the door to their home for one year. I am now looking for my own space to be able to live in and I need your help so that I can pay my first month and security deposit for the apartment. I am so grateful for your help.
