Please donate toward Kazeem’s funeral cost

Hi, my name is Jummy and I’m fundraising for Mr. Kazeem Abiodun Akanji, a family friend of ours. Our beloved Alfa as we fondly called him, passed on suddenly on Monday the 17th of July upon collapsing on his way back from work. Uncle Kazeem was a devoted family man and sole provider to his wife and four children aged 18, 15, 12 and 4, who are all back in Nigeria. He was a wonderful, hardworking and kind man with a selfless heart. Few days before his unfortunate passing, Uncle Kazeem complained he was not feeling too well and that he was struggling to sleep which led to a visit to the GP practice. He was to book in an initial first check up appointment for 17th of July. He carried on with his day to day activities and went into work as usual having promised to send some money to his beloved wife back home on Friday the 21st of July. Uncle Kazeem spoke to his family on Sunday morning, and then again to his wife on his commute to work on Sunday night as he does every day. Upon finishing his shift on the morning of 17th, his wife waited on his call as he would usually call her on his commute back from work but did not hear from him. She began calling him but to no avail. Everyone at home knew the latest time he would get home from his night shift was 08:00AM. By 09:30AM, we were all getting worried as this is unusual of him to not be home nor call. After several calls were made to his phone number, we reached out to one of his colleagues, who then informed us of the unfortunate incident. We were informed that Uncle Kazeem was found at the bus stop slumped with him bleeding through his mouth and nose. The ambulance and the police were called to the scene but unfortunately Uncle Kazeem passed on in the ambulance on the way to the hospital.

We are all so devastated by the shocking news and loss of Uncle Kazeem and we are seeking donations to help cover the cost of Uncle Kazeem’s funeral as we’re not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service. We also seek donations to support his family back home during this difficult times as his wife is a full time housewife with no stable source of income. We can’t imagine the pain this will bring to his family as they are also unable to say goodbyes properly due to the huge cost of flying him back home to Nigeria. This is the last thing they would have imagined would happen to him having only been in the UK for about 2 years. We ask that you please give what you can, as no amount is too small.

Thank you all so much for your time and donation.

May the Lord bless and keep you.

Amen.
