Plant Medicine Journey

I began my spiritual journey as a young child in a Christian Church, where I was blessed with mentors who helped my unfoldment. Especially, the Carr's who were my choir teachers & Pastor Hernandez who began teaching me lessons that would be the foundation of my spiritual practice; ultimately culminating to Christ consciousness and self-love. From there, my spiritual practice grew & encompassed many different religions. Ultimately, no religion has a monopoly on truth and all roads lead to the Divine Creation. Eventually, I was led to a teacher, who taught me about soul recognition & my ancestral knowledge began to surface and I was taught about the "Red Road". Creator opened many opportunities for ceremony in my life for the next several years, which included local Native American practices and Eastern philosophies.  From my healing through plant medicine, I was called to continue this path to help others through my songs, gifted to me by my master plants.

Then I met Dr. Joe Tafur, who introduced me to the Amazon and the plant teachers of South America. For the past 4 years, I have been traveling to the Amazon with my wife to continue my healing journey and shamanic training.  The next phase of my training entails a long-term "dieta" which consists of isolation, strict rules on food & activities, working with my master plant and ceremonies for 3 months. Ni hue rao Centro Espiritual has been my home for traditional amazonian plant healing ceremonies that have catapulted me through lifetimes of emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual healing.

Often I have said the gateway to our hearts is Nature. After the Creator made Father Sun & Mother Earth, they are our first physically spiritual beings and our first real teachers. In the old ways before the war on nature, we learned through them, feeding us and curing our ailments. I wish to relearn those ways and have asked my heart to guide me back to those ways. By the Grace of the Creator and the ability of our indigenous ancestors to endure that war, they have kept those ways for us to learn and make into our own. It is with this humble spirit, free mind, and an open heart, that I am asking for your help in this endeavor. One for Heaven, One for Earth, and One for the Heart that binds Heaven & Earth. One.
