Help Kayla go to SCAD

As a high school graduate, I am well aware that the time to head off to college is near. I need this money to be able to achieve the dream of being an animator. Achieving my dream is expensive. There are not many African American women in this field creating content that relates to young women like me. I would like to be a change agent and create cartoons or animations that relate to young women like me. The school that I want to attend is the Savannah College of Art and Design or SCAD for short and because I am still trying to secure funds for school, I have deferred my admission to spring of 2023. SCAD has a really good 2D animation program that will bring me a step closer to achieving my dream in a career of being an animator. They are well respected and almost guarantee employment upon graduation. During the pandemic, I have been isolated from pretty much everyone that I have cared about and the only way that I have been able to deal with that isolation is through the support of my mother and by watching cartoons. I want to be an animator to not only bring joy and entertainment to others but to also give them a way to cope with their own problems whether it is the pandemic or other struggles that they are currently dealing with.
