Paying tribute to our beloved Lucia Palazzetti

Donna Dories and Lucia Palazzetti are friends like no other. Friends that became family. Friends that in some cases replaced family. Many years of love and laughter with these two crazy ladies. So many amazing memories to look back on. This past year has been tragic for these two amazing souls. March of 2021 our girl Lucia was diagnosed with end stage liver cancer. They gave her 3 months to live. But she was determined to beat those odds. She fought a good fight. That strong willed Italian fought for an entire year, and she beat those odds. On March 11,2022, exactly one year later, god decided to take our girl back home. It’s a loss that has been devastating to all who loves her. The last few days has been EXTREMELY difficult for her wife Donna. She is now left to try and manage her life without her beloved wife of 35 years. She had taken 2 months unpaid leave to take care of Lucia, and now has to find a way to pay for funeral and burial expenses with no life insurance. In lu of flowers,  I am asking for anything you can donate to help out a good friend who truly needs our help. If she knew I was doing this she’d probably kill me. So please keep this hush hush until after the funeral. Joanne, Tammy, Hope, Margie and I will present her with a check and then let her see this post. Donna is too proud to ask for donations.
