Paying tribute to Dan Lewis

We were heartbroken to learn that Dan Lewis passed away at his home in Smithfield due to his worsening health conditions. Dan was a one of a kind individual, who made an impression on everyone he met. He loved to make everyone laugh, and would always be the first to lend a helping hand or simply words of encouragement. Dan lived for fishing, tattooing and helping others. One of the things he enjoyed most about being a tattoo artist was all of the people he was able to meet and put a smile on their face. He will certainly be missed by all his friends and family.

Dan endured a rocky road over the last few years with his health -- this past year being the most difficult. In June, he was forced to retire from work for his own safety and benefit due to his worsening health conditions. Yet, Dan never gave up and continued to tattoo friends and family, fighting through his challenges, even up through his final days.

With the high cost of funeral expenses, we are coming together to help support the family of Dan during this unfortunate time. The unexpected death of a family member is hard on anyone, especially someone as truly special and unique as Dan. Our hearts and prayers remain with Dan, his family and friends, but take comfort that he is no longer suffering and is now pain free.
