Help Patti Save Ray
Donation protected

Though you would not know by Patti’s warm, kind and loving disposition, her life has been far from easy. She had two loving sons, Ray and his older brother Dacian. He was 17 years old when he was murdered by a stray bullet in their neighborhood. Ray was waiting for his older brother with a friend down the street and Dacian never returned.
Patti’s son Ray (39 years old) has been in and out of the hospital for the last few months due to complications with Crohn’s disease. Dehydration, shingles, and two life-threatening blood clots has left him in pain and unable to walk. Unfortunately, their health insurance will not allow treatment for in-patient rehab care that he desperately needs. Patti cares for him at home 24/7. She has been unemployed since March due to COVID-19 and is not eligible for unemployment. Their situation is heartbreaking and their lack of money prohibits Patti from affording the help Ray desperately needs.
Patti has dedicated her entire life to others. Patti has touched and improved the lives of these families as their caregiver and friend for over 30 years. She is still in contact with every family.
Now Patti, this extraordinary, loving, kind, hard working woman, who has always been there helping everyone else in their time of need, needs our help as she struggles to care for her son Ray.
We wanted to share a few stories from families whose lives Patti has touched:
"For over 14 years, Patti was always there for my kids, undoubtedly a second mom to both my son and daughter. When my son was sick with a brain tumor, she was not only a support for my kids but for me too. Her endearing personality and bright smile always lights up a room. She is trustworthy, diligent and responsible, a caretaker in every sense of the word. Now Patti needs our help!"

"Patti saved my life! I was sick the entire time while pregnant with my second daughter. After giving birth prematurely to my then 4 lb baby girl, I came home from the hospital still very ill and unable to take care of my newborn and 8 year old. Patti was recommended to me by one of my best friends. From the moment she walked through my door, she took my baby and said “Go back to sleep”. When I woke up, my house was clean, she had my baby swaddled in her arms (clean and fed) while sitting on the floor playing a game with my older girl. She became family! To this day, she has a bond with my children (who are now 14 and 22) that is unbreakable. She never misses their birthdays or a phone call to say Merry Christmas. She gives unconditionally. We cherish and adore her."

"Patti was the caregiver for my 2 children for over 8 years and is still in touch with us. She helped raise them! She was beyond loving and caring. She also helped take care of our elderly mom for years who had dementia. She so beautifully, gently and compassionately helped with our mom during this very difficult time. She continued to visit our mom for years even after she had to be in a nursing home. Even though Patti no longer worked for our family, she would travel a long way for those many visits."
