Our lovely friend Patte Grimes recently sustained a traumatic injury after suffering a severe fall. She is currently in rehab, recovering from a spiral fracture of her left femur and two fractures of her left fibula. These injuries have left Patte unable to walk.
For the past 15 years, Patte has worked tirelessly doing what she loves best: loving and caring for cats and dogs while keeping them healthy, safe, and happy while their parents are out of town. Unfortunately, it will be months before Patte is physically able to return to caring for her beloved, furry four-legged clients. As a professional pet caregiver, if she cannot work, she has no source of income.
Patte finds it easy to seek help and to fundraise for cats and dogs who need assistance, but she is too humble to ask for help for herself. So, her friends are asking on her behalf.
Many of you know Patte as a volunteer cat rescuer/caregiver for the Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society. You know that she is a selfless, caring individual who always puts the animals in her life ahead of her own welfare—whether these animals are cats, dogs, or the wild turkeys in her backyard. Your contribution will help Patte get through these next couple of months until she is, literally, on her feet again and able to resume working.
