I Patrick Parcia, father of Patricia, am pleading for your help in raising funds for our daughter's upcoming operation.

A Laryngotracheal Reconstruction is a must for our daughter. She has undergone tracheostomy because of heavy difficulty in breathing, she has Severe Larygomalacia (collapsing of the larynx) and compounded by another condition called Subglottic Stenosis (narrowing of the throat area).

LARYNGOTRACHEAL RECONSTRUCTION entails that our daughter will be placed in the NICU, were a piece of her rib will be removed to be use as a stent to be placed in her throat to widen the opening which is being constricted by the Stenosis. While this is done our daughter will be put in a comma like state so that the doctors will be able to properly work, and I think also so that the pain will be at least bearable.

We have been pushed to the corner now, all our life savings had been drained because of our babies.

Our firstborns were twins, they came early at 6months only. Philip Matthew was only with us for 5 hours and then God gave him his angel wings, his brother Peter Marcus went to fight for his life in the NICU for 2 months. This is where all our life savings had been drained. We also had to take loans from family and friends.

2 years in, we are about to totally pay our debts, and my wife currently pregnant.

When Patricia was born we thought everything will be ok, because she scored high on her Apgar 9 out or 10, and for 3 weeks she was.

Then we noticed that she had increasingly become irritated, she does not want to breastfeed and has been having a hard time holding it in, she would vomit almost all that milk she had drunk.

A couple of days passed and she has lost her strength, her arm that would flail to the air whenever she is angry now just rest on her sides, her once eardrum shattering screams were tamed into soft whines.

That is when we ran to the hospital to the doctors. Upon the observation of our Pedia, he diagnosed her with Severe Laryngomalacia, she was confined, IVs attached, a tube was inserted from her mouth down to her throat to her tummy to help her feed much better.

The sight of our daughter made our knees weak.

For 3 days she was kept under observation, and when she started gaining weight, they discharged us, but with the tube still attached. After just a week we had to come back, her condition was worsening, so she had to be admitted again, this time she was placed in NICU. There she was closely monitored, an ENT specialist was called to further asses our babies condition.

The ENT proceeded to do a Laryngoscopy, his findings were that a mass on the Subglottis area was present making it much more difficult for our daughter to breathe, as if Severe Laryngomalacia wasn’t enough here comes another one.

A CT Scan was also done to make sure that those two are the only thing obstructing the airway.

Dec 6, came and a Tracheostomy was done, a breathing tube is inserted on our daughter’s throat to bypass the airway blockages, this just remedies the problem.

LARYNGOTRACHEAL RECONSTRUCTION is what will save Patricia, but we are truly out of money and the operation cost is very high. We’ve already borrowed all that we can from relatives and friends but it still not enough.

Please help us.

Thank you
