As many of you know, my Mom, Pamela Krajenka, had a long history with health issues. She always joked that we (my dad and her) 'bought a wing' at our local hospitals and whenever she saw her doctor she would ask him how that 'vacation we paid for' was for him. She was like that though. A hilarious, speak-her-mind, spunky woman who everyone loved. She got away with saying things to people that most wouldnt dare...and they loved her for it.

My Mom was a rockstar. She gave back to the community as much as she could, especially before disability after several battles with cancer made it tough for her to get around. She was the Predisent of the PTA, a teachers aide for Special Education Students, and always jumped at the chance to support events where she could make a difference.

She and my Dad married 39 years ago and they never left each others side. They are true soul mates and there was never a doubt in eithers mind that their lives were one. They are two halves to a whole.

When the going got tough with Moms health, and at many times for months or years at a time it was... my dad held her hand. Through 4 bouts of vicious cancer, through repeated injuries due to the effects of chemo and radiation making moms body weaker than most, through multiple surgeries to repair the damage from this or that... my Dad was right there taking care of her and holding her hand. Through all of her battles she was still her electric, laughing, amazing self and she gave Dad and I the most amazing life a woman ever could. She seemed invincible, often beating insurmountable odds.

My Dad worked hard for our family for 48 years on top of all of the support and care he gave to Mom. He is a shining example of what it means to be a man. He loved her with every beat of his heart, every fiber of his being, and there is nothing on this earth he wouldnt do for his sweetheart. Since retirement, my Dad made taking care of Mom his full time job and not a second of it was something that he did not want to do. That kind of love is RARE.

My Mom passed away on February 2 at 3:19 pm. I think she held on for a time that was sooo special to my family. It was the time that she would see my Dads face walking out of the Milwaukee Cylinder doors after getting off work at 3:18pm for 48 years. In her last moments she was pain free, surrounded by loved ones, and my Dad and I were right there to hold her hand in her last breaths.

The past 2 months of intensive care, surgeries, hospital care and nursing home stays have left crippling bills, even after insurance coverage. I know that my Mom wouldn't want the man who held her hand through a lifetime to have to deal with the financial burden of those significant costs. So, I am doing what I can to put together a fund to help my Dad manage his finances while he grieves the loss of his beloved soul mate, co-pilot, partner-in-crime, and best friend.

Please share and donate if you are able. Thank you for reading, and take a page from my Mom and Dads love story... love hard, laugh often and you can get through damn near anything.

Take Care, God Bless.
