Paddy's Lunch Relief Fund

Donation protected
Paddy’s Lunch is the oldest family-owned pub in Cambridge, standing on the corner of Walden and Sherman Streets for the past 86 years. Three generations of women have owned and managed Paddy's. The bar has served Cantabrigians and visitors, serving as a springboard for many local and national politicians, including John F. Kennedy and Tip O'Neil. Paddy's is involved in life in Cambridge, supporting schools ,community functions, neighbors' emergencies, and youth sport teams, especially girls' sports.

Our neighborhood institution has been closed since March 16th, due to the pandemic. Ruth and Irv have done everything possible to keep the bar afloat, despite not being able to welcome patrons for the past 8 months. They’ve installed a kitchen and jumped through all kinds of hoops, with no external funding. The reams of paperwork haven’t paid off.

Paddy’s is on the ropes.

We need to come together to get Paddy’s back into the ring, either in the coming weeks (fingers crossed!), or to be able to hold on until Spring. Warmer weather is sure to bring good news.

Anything that you can contribute will help keep Paddy’s from permanently closing the doors. Don’t let 86 years of our little bar, our cold beers, our warm friends disappear.

Thank you from the Paddy’s Family.
