I have great news to share and it is all because of so many of you. With online and offline donations, I am able to get a new van!!!

I’m taking delivery on Friday, March 23rd at Michigan Mobility Solutions in Clarkston at 1 pm.  All of you are welcome to join me in this celebration and press party. MMS is rolling out the red carpet, balloons, pizza and pop as we celebrate this amazing outpouring of giving/sharing that you have bestowed upon me.

Thank you to all who helped organize, shared posts and gave way beyond than I ever expected. You all have blessed me and my life and I am forever in your debt. God bless you all for your generosity and love that you have shown me.

Thank you again and please come out to Michigan Mobility Solutions on Friday, March 23rd at 1 pm to share my joy and gratitude!

David Watson

Nearly 38 years ago, at the age of 18, David Watson suffered a broken neck from a diving accident at a friend's house.  The accident left him a quadriplegic, paralyzed from the chest down.  In the years following, David was able to manage life using manual wheelchairs and vans with modest conversions to accommodate his mobility needs.  David, now 56 years old, has found it necessary to rely on the assistance that a power wheelchair provides.  Unfortunately, David's 2004 GMC van no longer meets the requirements to safely and comfortably allow for transportation to doctor appointments, or to be active in the community, which is vital for David's overall health and welfare.

Kevin Bellant, General Manager at Michigan Mobility Solutions in Clarkston, MI recommends a new/newer side-entry, lowered floor minivan to accommodate David's current mobility needs.  The purchase of this van would provide David an opportunity to be transported safely and comfortably with the option for David to ride up front on the passenger's side.  In addition to more maneuverability, David would also have the ability to see out the windows from anywhere in the van, something he has not been able to do with his current van.  The cost of a side-entry van properly equipped for David is $50,000.

Please share David's story to help raise the estimated cost for a van with needed modifications.  The purchase of this lifeline will help improve David's overall quality of life.

Thank you sincerely for any help you can afford.
